- Después de la emisión del Snatch Game de la temporada 4 de RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars, la actuación de Gia como Jenny Bui fue criticada no solo por los jueces, sino también por la misma Bui. La mayor crítica de los jueces, especialmente de Michelle Visage, fue representar a una sobreviviente de la persecución camboyana como japonesa y caer en estereotipos japoneses. Jenny Bui comentó al respecto, diciendo en Instagram: "I'm honored to be featured on last nights episode of @Rupaulofficial ❤️. Unfortunately that's not my accent, and the only thing off the boat is the "fresh" tilapia that you are allegedly serving. 💅🏾".[2][3]
