Origen de su nombre drag[]
Antes de aparecer como la pareja del makeover de Icesis Couture en la segunda temporada de Canada's Drag Race, ya era conocida en Toronto como Makayla Walker Louboutin, ya que forma parte de la escena ballroom canadiense bajo la House of Louboutin. Eligió el nombre "Ruby" durante el makeover porque representa ser ardiente, un completo opuesto a la marca característica de Icesis, que es helada. Después de que se emitiera la temporada, Makayla decidió mantener su nombre original de drag, ya que, para ella, representa fortaleza, poder, belleza y gracia. Sin embargo, desde entonces ha conservado el apellido drag de Icesis.[5]

- Antes de competir en Call Me Mother, Makayla apareció como invitada en la segunda temporada de Canada's Drag Race como Ruby Couture, la pareja del makeover de Icesis Couture.
- Al ser adoptada en la familia drag de Icesis, esto convierte a Makayla en la hermana drag de Kimmy Couture.
- Años más tarde, volvió a Canada's Drag Race como concursante en la quinta temporada, siendo la primera pareja de makeover de Drag Race que regresa como concursante.
