Anastarzia had been doing drag for 17 years before Canada's Drag Race.
Anastarzia has won more than 15 pageants including Miss Canada International, Miss Gay Toronto, and she is the reigning Miss Black Continental at Large.
Anastarzia is the first and only Bahamian contestant to appear in the Drag Race franchise.
Anastarzia is the first queen to ever walk the runway on Canada's Drag Race.
She moved to Canada due to the harassment towards gays and drag queens in The Bahamas. Many of her friends were murdered as they left their houses.
She herself was shot in her left arm, chest, and right kidney by two men standing in her driveway after getting home. She drove herself to the hospital where doctors thought she would not make it through the night. After making a recovery, she claimed asylum in Canada.
She is the first queen that did not leave a mirror message for the remaining queens on Canada's Drag Race, and the first in the Drag Race franchise since Shangela started the tradition in Season 2.
