The fifth season of Canada's Drag Race was officially announced on November 9, 2023 via social media accounts. Casting opened the same day,[1] with a deadline of November 23, 2023.[2]

A teaser posted on October 21, 2024 confirmed the Meet The Queens would be released on October 23.[3]

The winner of the fifth season of Canada's Drag Race was The Virgo Queen, with Makayla Couture placing as the runner-up and Jaylene Tyme winning Miss Congeniality.
