Corazon

Corazon Filipinas,[1] known simply as Corazon on the show, is a Filipino drag performer and one of the contestants of the first season of Drag Race Philippines.

About

A crowned pageant queen with a list of titles on her sash, Corazon has jumped from one beauty contest to another competing in both male bikini contests and provincial Miss Gay events and talent shows. In addition to drag, Corazon is a makeup artist and a designer; creating looks for fellow drag and beauty queens alike.[3]

Drag Name Origin

"Corazón" means "heart" in Spanish, a previous official but now recognized language in the Philippines. Corazon has stated that she took the name from the 2012 Filipino psychological thriller film "Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang."[4]

Trivia

  • Corazon is the first contestant ever to walk into the Werk Room of Drag Race Philippines.
  • Corazon is the fourth contestant from the Drag Race franchise to have been caught breaking the show's rules, after Willam, Miss Gimhuay, and Vivaldi. She admitted to wearing a dress that she sewed prior to entering the competition during the Sagalamazon underneath the outfit that she constructed for the episode.
    • She is the second contestant after Vivaldi to not be disqualified for rule-breaking.
      • Unlike Vivaldi, however, Corazon was eliminated on the same episode that she was caught.
  • In an interview for Gay Times, Corazon revealed that she would have impersonated either late Filipino comedienne Joy Viado or former Philippine president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo had she made it to Snatch Game.[5]
