The second season of Drag Race France was officially announced by the director of antennas and programs of France Télévisions, Stéphane Sitbon-Gomez, on August 11, 2022.[2]
On October 7, 2022, casting for the second season opened with a deadline of October 31.[3]
On January 26, 2023, it was confirmed in a post by the official Drag Race France Instagram account that Daphné Bürki and Kiddy Smile would be returning as regular judges alongside Nicky Doll who would be returning as host and judge.[4]
On June 1, 2023, the cast was officially revealed.[5] On June 8, "Meet The Queen" interviews titled Qu'on me ramène mes nouvelles reines ! premiered and continued to air in between programs on France 2 from June 26 to 30.[6][7] On June 6, a premiere date of June 30 was announced.[8] Additionally, an aftershow in the style of The Pit Stop hosted by Season 1 winner Paloma titled Drama Queens, chez Paloma was announced to be airing after every episode.[9]
On July 17, 2023, the official Drag Race France X account announced registration to attend the live finale at the Grand Rex on August 20 would open the following day.[10]
The winner won a crown and scepter from Carré Y valued at €40,000, a trip for two to New York City at a five-star hotel and tickets to a Broadway Show, a feature on the cover of ELLE France[11] and a one-year supply of MAC Cosmetics.
The winner of the season was Keiona with Sara Forever placing as runner-up and with Moon winning the title of Miss Sympathie.
About The Show
After a LE-GEN-DAIRE first season, Drag Race France is finally back! 11 new queens will make their first steps in the Werkroom and show the world their art! Between Mini and Maxi challenges, runways, performances, and lip sync battles, the queens of this new season will have to show all the facets of their personalities! Each week, Nicky Doll will be joined by Daphné Burki, Kiddy Smile, and prestigious artists to judge this colorful competition. Who will take the crown this season and succeed Paloma?
