The first season of Drag Race Philippines was officially announced on August 16, 2021 by World of Wonder via Instagram.[2] Casting opened that same day, with deadline of September 12, 2021.[3] The show will soon be available on the company's online streaming service, WOW Presents Plus, to all countries, and on Discovery+ in the Philippines.[4]
On May 14, 2022, Drag Race alumni Jiggly Caliente was announced as one of the permanent members of the judging panel. A premiere date of August 17, 2022, was also announced that same day.[1]
Rumored Contestants
These contestants are currently rumored to be on the first season of Drag Race Philippines, as many of them disappeared from social media and in-person gigs during time of filming, beginning early-December of 2021 and ending late-December of 2021.
