Drag Race Sverige, also called Drag Race Sweden,[4] was officially announced on April 5, 2022 by Drag Race producers Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato via a press release.[3][5]

On September 6, 2022, Swedish drag artist, actor and playwright Robert Fux was announced as host of the show by Entertainment Weekly.[2]

Due to low viewership of the first season, it is unknown if the show will be renewed.[6]

Drag Race Sverige Untucked, also known as Otejpat in Sweden, is a companion series that airs after the main series. The focus of the series is footage of the queens' conversations while backstage in Drugstugan during the judges' deliberations. Sometimes there is also bonus footage from the workroom or runway.
