El Mictlán is a companion web series for La Más Draga: Solo Las Más that showcases the contestants' conversations minutes before being called to El Purgatorio in order to vote for the week's weakest performer. The series began with Season 1 and mirrors the role served by El Salseo in the context of the main series.

Setting[]
- On the first season of the show, the contestants were accommodated in a set similar to the one used in El Salseo for La Más Draga (Season 6). While the walls retained their fuchsia hue, they were now decorated with several pieces of papel picado, and the floor was transformed into a shade of vibrant orange. Additionally, the set featured the same Altar De Muertos usually seen on the mainstage, although now adorned with the original promotional pictures of the contestants. Sponsored by Otro Trago, this season also incorporated a small bar at the back with the logo of the company.
Episodes[]
El Purgatorio[]
In La Más Draga: Solo Las Más, one notable difference in format from the main series lies in the process of selecting the bottom contestants. Rather than being determined by the judges, this decision rests with the contestants themselves. They are tasked with privately voting in El Purgatorio for the contestant they believe performed the worst in the episode, with the only exception being the winner of that week's challenge, who is immune from receiving any votes.
To aid in the voting process, contestants are shown recordings of who voted for whom in the previous episode. While the first instance of this occurred at the beginning of the second episode of La Más Draga: Solo Las Más (Season 1), all subsequent instances were reserved for the beginning of each episode of El Mictlán. Immediately after watching the recordings, the contestants are asked one by one to depart El Mictlán and access El Purgatorio to cast their vote.
Trivia[]
- The title of the show is a reference to Mictlān, the representation of the underworld in Aztec mythology. This aligns with the overarching theme of La Más Draga: Solo Las Más, where the contestants come back to life after "passing away" in their original seasons.[1]
- In contrast to its counterpart from the main series, El Mictlán was uploaded in 4K resolution since its first season.
- Due to El Salseo not being introduced until La Más Draga (Season 3), El Mictlán marks the first time Soro Nasty is featured in an Untucked-style program format.
- While Gvajardo also originally competed in a season without El Salseo, she did serve as the main host for its second season, which corresponded to La Más Draga (Season 4).
- Since Velvetine did not previously compete in any season of the main series before, this would also mark her first experience in this format.
- As shown on Detrás de Las Máximas, after casting their votes in El Purgatorio, the contestants are instructed to wait backstage instead of returning to El Mictlán. This explains why the set gradually empties out and why some contestants are completely absent in certain episodes.[2]
- Conversely, contestants who are ineligible to vote due to a previous nomination or elimination are instructed to remain in El Mictlán until the last eligible contestant is called to vote.[2]
- It should be noted, however, that nominated contestants are provided with some time to depart and change from their runway look into a more suitable outfit for the lip sync if they desire. Nonetheless, they are still required to return to El Mictlán afterwards.[2]
- Conversely, contestants who are ineligible to vote due to a previous nomination or elimination are instructed to remain in El Mictlán until the last eligible contestant is called to vote.[2]
