A Farewell Message, also referred to as the Mirror Message or the Lipstick Message, is a short message that the eliminated queen leaves to the remaining competing queens, usually written with a lipstick on the Werk Room mirror. The message is read by the remaining queens in the following episode and, in rule, wiped off by the queen that sent the eliminated queen home.
Shangela was the first contestant ever to leave the farewell message on the mirror upon her elimination on Season 2 of RuPaul's Drag Race. Each next eliminated queen of the season followed suit and so the tradition of the eliminated queen leaving a farewell message continued over all future seasons, and was also adapted by other editions in the franchise.

- RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under: Ivory Glaze was eliminated on the same day the filming of the next episode began due to her lipsync against Rita Menu being postponed.
