Farida Kant is an Italian drag performer and one of the contestants of the first season of Drag Race Italia.
Drag Name Origin[]
Farida takes her name after her dance teacher, named Farida, and Eva Kant, the girlfriend and sidekick of Diabolik, from the Italian comic book series Diabolik.[2]

- Farida's first encounter with drag was when at a live show in 2005, but she only started doing drag in 2013, after working as a dancer at Muccassassina, one of the most famous LGBTQ+ events in Italy, hosted in Rome.[5][6]
- In the same year that she started doing drag, she competed and won the title of Miss Drag Queen Lazio, qualifying for Miss Drag Queen Italia, where she landed in third place.[5]
- Farida is a member of Aterballetto, one of the most prestigious dance companies in Italy, which is based in Reggio Emilia, Emilia-Romagna. Because of this, she had to move to Bologna.[5]
- Fairda's biggest inspirations are Lady Gaga, Patty Pravo, Diana Ross, Liza Minelli, Madonna and Gianni Versace's top models.[6]
- Farida's favorite song to perform is "New York" by Liza Minelli.[6]
- Coming into her season, the fellow contestants Farida feared the most were Enorma Jean, Elecktra Bionic and Luquisha Lubamba.[6]
- Farida's favorite contestants from RuPaul's Drag Race are Gigi Goode and Aquaria.[6]
- Farida was the first contestant on Drag Race Italia to win a challenge, and also the first to win two challenges.
- According to Enorma Jean, Farida fractured a bone during the Rusical in Episode 3.[7]
- In 2020, Farida Kant competed on Season 7 of the Italian talent show Tú sí que vales along with La Petite Noire, Law Light and Nehellenia as the "Doppelgangers" in a lip sync and dance number. They got a vote from each of the 4 judges and 78% approval from the audience vote.[8][9]
