Art-Araya In-dra[1] (TH: อาร์ต อารยา อินทรา) , better known as Art Arya (TH: อาร์ต อารยา, sometimes also romanized as Art-Arya, Art Araya[3] or Art-Araya), is a drag performer, fashion designer and one of the two hosts of Drag Race Thailand, along with Pangina Heals.

Biography[]

Arya studied art and fashion design in both Bangkok and France and has worked in fashion for 30 years.

She was known to appear in shows other than Drag Race Thailand, such as The Face.

Trivia[]

  • Art is the first person to co-host a Drag Race competition along with Pangina Heals.
  • Although Pangina and her are technically equal as hosts, Art seem to take more of the role of a "RuPaul of Thailand", being the one who presents the runway, the judges, the one saying "The time has come for you to lip sync for your life, and don't fuck it up", and the one who eliminates the contestants.
  • Unlike RuPaul, Art usually dresses to fit (or at least resemble) the runway theme of the corresponding episode.
  • Art was absent in the second half of the 10th episode of Season 2 due to schedule conflicts, since she was a Master Mentor in the fifth season of The Face Thailand at the time. This caused fellow co-host, Pangina Heals, to assume the charge and decide which queens would move on to the Top 5.
  • Prior to being announced as a co-host on Drag Race Thailand, Art appeared as a designer client during the go-see challenge held at the eighth episode of the fifth season of Vietnam's Next Top Model when the aforementioned show's model aspirants flew to Thailand.[4]
