Drag Race contestants who win a season are considered to be reigning from their coronation day until the next winner of the same series is crowned.
To this day, 61 different drag artists throughout the world have been crowned winners under the Drag Race franchise, the first of which being BeBe Zahara Benet from Season 1 of RuPaul's Drag Race, crowned on March 23, 2009, and the most recent being Tia Kofi from Season 2 of RuPaul's Drag Race UK vs the World crowned on March 29, 2024.
