Deborah La Grande (also stylized as Deborah "La Grande") is a Mexican drag performer and one of the contestants on the first season of the YouTube show La Más Draga. Deborah would later be crowned La Más Draga of her season at the finale
About[]
Known for her romantic comedy routines, Deborah has never considered herself a runway queen. However, place her in front of an audience and she will give everything she has to provide an amazing experience with her undeniable stage presence.[4]
Drag Name Origin[]
Deborah's name is a play on several things:
- Debora(h) can be translated into devours, a reference to Deborah's interest in the culinary arts and her love for food.
- La Grande can be translated into the Great, a reference to several Mexican actresses from the Golden Age of cinema that Deborah considers as inspirations to her drag.
- Both names together can be translated into Deborah the Great, Deborah the Big One or even Devours the Big One, with this last one being considered by Deborah a perfect example of her naughtiness.[5]

- "Después de que me dejaron incomunicado, me vendaron los ojos y dije: este es un secuestro exprés."
- "Mira aquí, aventamos el maquillaje de Margaret y así como va." (flirting with Alfonso Waithsman).
(teasing the finale).
Muchas gracias." (after her finale performance).

Trivia[]
- She is the only queen in any drag series to be in the bottom 2 twice and both of them being double saves
- As she revealed in the "Día de Muertas" episode, she had been doing drag for 7 years prior to the show.
- Deborah was the first contestant to sign her contract to compete in the show, making her the very first official contestant of La Más Draga.[6]
- She is the first contestant of any drag competition to win a season without winning any challenge. She would later be followed by Elecktra Bionic from Drag Race Italia Season 1.
- Due to this, she also ended up being the first one to win a season having the worst track record of the entire cast.
- She is the second queen across any drag competition to win a season while placing in the bottom two the first episode, after Chad Michaels on Season 1 of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars. She was followed by Alexis 3XL, who coincidentally was on the second season of La Más Draga.
- She knew Margaret was in the cast because he ran into her when signing the contract.[7]
- She hosted the web series Tú Las Traes during its second season (which corresponds to the third season of La Más Draga), where she interviewed the eliminated contestants about their experience on the show and let them showcase their unused looks for the runway.
- Both contestants she was paired up with (Sophia Jiménez & Aviesc Who?) ended up reaching the finale of their respective season.
- Aviesc would go on to win her season, just like Deborah.
- For unknown reasons, Deborah was the only winner to not be part of the judges panel for the auditions of La Más Draga 4. Instead, Margaret Y Ya acted as the Season 1 representative.
- However, she would be part of the panel one year later for the auditions of Season 5.
- Just like with Rebel Mörk, Deborah has revealed that she was not invited to judge the auditions of La Más Draga (Season 6) alongside the other winners.[8]
- The producers later commented that they simply did not invite her due to them only wanting three judges in the panel in order to save time.[9]
