The fourth season of La Más Draga, also known as La Cuarta Transformación, was officially announced on December 25, 2020 through the show's official accounts. A casting announcement video was released, where the Season 3 contestants gave instructions on how to audition. Unlike previous seasons, 31 contestants would be selected from the audition tapes in order to all participate in a single live audition held in Mexico City.[1]
Following the airing of the live auditions on March 9, 2021, only one contestant was confirmed to be cast for the season: Georgiana. The rest of the cast was to remain secret until the season premiered. However, a billboard showcasing the full cast got leaked a few days before the release date, including the three secret contestants of the season.[2]
On September 6, 2021, the first promotional video for the season was released, revealing that the season would be released on September 21, 2021. The promotional video also confirmed Mexican actor Roberto Carlo as the new host for the season, as well as the inclusion of Ricky Lips in a then unknown role. It was later revealed on the premiere that she would replace Johnny Carmona on the panel of judges, with him remaining on the show as a coach.[3]
At the end of the twelfth episode, Rebel was crowned as the winner, with C-Pher placing as the runner-up, Georgiana being crowned as the Miss Congeniality (La Más Querida) and Paper Cut as La Más Volada of the season.
