The Switch Drag Race: El Arte del Transformismo is the first season of The Switch Drag Race, the Chilean version of RuPaul's Drag Race. The season aired every Thursday and Sunday on Mega. It's hosted by Karla Constant and judged by Íngrid Cruz, Juan Pablo González, Sebastián Errázuriz and Nicole Gaultier.

The winner of The Switch Drag Race received a cash prize of CLP$10,000,000 (≈ $14,000 USD) and a one-year supply of products and accessories from AnyHair.

The first season of The Switch aired on October 8, 2015 and ended on January 17, 2016 having Luz Violeta as the winner of the season.

About The Show

The program consists of fourteen drag queens that must show their skills to characterize a female character, dance and sing on stage. Along with the demonstration of their skills, the program will show the life story of each of them, providing details of an unknown world for Chilean screens. All this, so that only one manages to become the best transformista in Chile. To measure the abilities of the participants, in each episode there will be 4 challenges. These are:

• Artistic Challenge: In this first challenge the participants have to compete, generally, characterizing some television personality or pop culture. Depending on the episode, the immune or the nominee is determined.

• Impersonation Challenge: In this second challenge the participants have to compete, generally, maintaining the characterizations of the previous challenge and adding to this a small demonstration of acting, singing, dancing or lip sync. Depending on the episode, the immune, the nominated or the expelled one is determined (first episode).

• Singing Gala: In this third challenge the participants have to compete, interpreting a song of their own choice. At the end of each presentation, each member of the jury assigns points from 1 to 7 to the participant, depending on the quality of their presentation. Finally, the participant with the lowest score will go to the last challenge of the episode; Elimination Duel.

• Elimination Duel: Last challenge of the episode, in which the losers of the Singing Gala face each other. Both competitors sing a song of their own choosing again. Whoever loses will be removed from The Switch.

• Weeks 1-10 consist of two episodes each. Each queen participates in either the first or second episode of the week.

Synopsis: Hoy en The Switch vimos cómo las participantes presentaron al jurado una obra de teatro humorística, causando las carcajadas de quienes los observaban.

Episode 11: "Runway"

Synopsis: The Switch nos soprende cada vez más. En el capítulo de hoy pudimos ver a las particpantes demostrando el gran talento que tienen en la pasarela, allí se lucieron como todas una modelos frente a un público distinto. Episode 12: "Comedy"

Synopsis: A medida que avanzan los capítulos, las pruebas que deben sortear las participantes son cada vez más difíciles, razón suficiente para que más de alguna tenga menos paciencia que al principio y quiera demostrar todas sus cualidades a la hora de salir a escena.

En este nuevo capítulo, las transformistas debieron sacar carcajadas mediante un complicado sketch cómico, lugar donde Botota Fox y una concursante más obtuvieron la inmunidad ¿Quieres saber quién más pasó a la siguiente etapa sin pasar a la prueba de canto?

Synopsis: Una triste despedida marca el inicio de este capítulo ¡Veneno se convirtió en la nueva eliminada! Y los demás concursantes lamentaron su partida. Pero no todo fue llanto y tristeza ¿Sabes? Pues una gran sorpresa se llevaron los concursantes del estelar cuando Fernando Godoy irrumpió en la academia. El actor puso todo de su parte para ayudar a los transformistas en una prueba ¡De infarto!

Synopsis: Debió haber sido una jornada entretenida, llena de buenos momentos como las chicas están acostumbradas, pero no. Synopsis: En el capítulo de hoy vivimos una entretenida actividad, donde un grupo de actores llegó para imitar a cada una de las chicas. Luego de unas horas donde ellas le enseñaron los principales tips para caracterizarlas, presentaron ante el jurado.

Synopsis: Uno de los personajes más potentes de la competencia, tuvo que decir adiós al sueño por convertirse en la mejor transformista de Chile.
