Nina De La Fuente is a Mexican drag performer and one of the contestants on Season 2 of the YouTube show La Más Draga.
About[]
Nina De La Fuente has an elegant and glamorous style, always seen covered in jewelry, headdresses and necklaces. Her drag is totally vintage and detailed to look perfect. As she says herself: she is the drunken aunt of the family.[3]
Drag Name Origin[]
Nina was the name of her deceased dog, so she decided to use it as a way to honor her. De La Fuente comes from her real last name, Fuentes. However, she thought Nina Fuentes sounded weird, leading her to add De La in order to make it sound more flamboyant.[4]

Memorable Quotes[]
(about being a secret contestant).
- "A peluche no, chavos."
- "Somos travelas todas... estamos locas."
- "Dicen que cuando más segura te sientes, es cuando a lo mejor te falta algo..." (following her elimination).
(following her elimination).
- "Si el drag no hubiera llegado a mi vida, estoy seguro de que en algún punto me hubiera podrido creativamente."
- "El drag es lo que me alimenta espiritualmente. Es mi escape, lo que me hace sentir vivo."
Trivia[]
- Nina was one of the contestants considered to be part of La Más Draga (Season 1), but was unable to participate in it due to work-related matters.[5]
- She was considered to be part of the show for the majority of the planning process that she even had green already assigned for her promo color.[6]
- Nina, Amelia and Gvajardo were the secret contestants of La Más Draga (Season 2), meaning they didn't need to audition and instead were directly invited to be in the show by the producers.[7]
- She is the drag daughter of La Más Draga (Season 1) contestants Cordelia Durango and Bárbara Durango. This also makes Eva Blunt, Lana, Little Miss Salma, Panic and La Carrera her drag siblings.[8][9]
- Nina injured herself moments after finishing filming her runway for La Más Religiosa. In an attempt to fix her headpiece, she accidentally punctured through her pinky finger with one of its spikes. She can be seen with a bandage on her finger during the critiques.[10]
- Nina would continue the trend set by Cordelia Durango of the contestant placing last being from Mexico City. The trend was then followed by Yayoi Bowery, Aurora Wonders and Deseos Fab.
- Similarly, Nina would begin the trend of the first eliminated contestant being a secret contestant, which also happened with Yayoi and Aurora.
- Nina was the first contestant to place 9th on La Más Draga.
- She was part of a pride campaign for Doritos, both participating in the designing of the 2019 Doritos Rainbow packaging as well as being featured in one of the final designs.[11]
- According to Nina, the final scores shown in her elimination episode didn’t match with the scores that the judges wrote on their papers. This has led Nina to believe that her elimination was scripted.[12]
