The first season of Camp Wannakiki premiered on August 8th, 2018 on YouTube. 8 contestants were selected to compete to be crowned as the "Queen of Camp".
The winner of the first season won a cash prize and a fabulous prize package worth nearly $5,000 including an all-expense paid cruise provided by Cruise Planners on alloutvacation.com, and a year supply of burgers provided by Hamburger Mary's. The winner was also featured as a headliner at the Austin International Drag Festival.
The winner of the first season of Camp Wannakiki was Alexis Bevels, with Muffy Fishbasket and Pagan Holladay placing as runners-up. Vajay J. Snappinturtle was awarded the Miss Congeniality title by her fellow castmates.

- A lot of the episodes' titles are references to dirty talking and sexual slang, especially in gay culture, for example:
- "Water Sports" refers to sexual activity in which urine is involved.
- "Pitching a Tent" refers to the act of experiencing an erection, in such a way that it causes the pants or shorts to form a tent like shape at the front.
- In "Crafty Beaver", "beaver" might be a reference to a slang for "vagina".
