Raga Diamante, also known as Miss Raga Diamante,[1] is a Mexican drag performer and one of the contestants on the third season of the YouTube show La Más Draga.
Raga Diamante has been part of the drag scene for years, becoming one of the most recognized impersonators of her native Yucatán. With the passage of time, she has polished her aesthetic in an impressive way and has turn into the spitting image of a pop superstar.[5]
Drag Name Origin[]
Raga comes from the combination of the names of the Hindu goddess Radha and the American singer Lady Gaga. Diamante, which can be translated to Diamond, comes from the Sparkling Diamonds musical number from Moulin Rouge!. She later added the Miss at the beginning, mentioning that even though she would never compete in pageants, claiming she was more of a showgirl, she still wanted to be a Miss.[6]

Trivia[]
Based on the opening sequence, the Lotería card assigned to Raga was El Diamante. The number on her card also indicates that she was the sixth contestant cast for the season.[7]
Raga was one of the secret contestants of La Más Draga 3, along with Memo Reyri, Regina Bronx, StupiDrag and Yayoi Bowery. This meant that all five of them were directly cast in the show solely based on their audition tapes, without needing to be part of the live auditions.[8]
In fact, Raga has revealed that she wasn't going to audition for Season 3, having been part of the auditions for Season 2 but losing to Leandra Rose, until she was convinced by her friends to do it on the very last day before auditions closed.[9]
In response, the producers told her that they did not even watch her audition tape before calling her to tell her she was cast for La Más Draga. They knew she was going to be in as long as she showed interest in being part of the season by sending an audition tape.[9]
She was the first contestant to win two and three challenges on her season.
Raga and Madison were the first contestants on the show to reach the finale while never placing below safe. They would be followed by Iris XC.
She passed out during her La Más 360 performance at the finale. Raga has said that a couple of hours passed before they were able to fully reanimate her.[9]
Raga has explained that this incident was probably due to a variety of factors, including exhaustion, stress, skipping meals, the height and altitude sickness.[9]
Ironically, even though she has admitted to disliking pageants, she won La Más Bella Señorita México, a pageant-themed challenge on her season.[9]
Based on the scores of the finale, the producers have revealed that Raga ended up placing fourth on La Más Draga (Season 3).[11][12]
