Regina Bronx is a Mexican drag queen and performer, best known for being a contestant on Season 3 of the YouTube show La Más Draga.

About[]

Inspired by the Grupera queens themselves, Regina Bronx comes with all her buchona style to dazzle. She can become any character she sets her mind to, but her essence always remains intact, which has also made her a successful beauty and pageant queen.[3]

Drag Name Origin[]

Regina comes from Mean Girls' Regina George, while Bronx comes from the borough of New York City, The Bronx. Regina chose this last name due to Jennifer Lopez, who was born in there, being one of her biggest idols.[4]

Memorable Quotes[]

  • "No soy Vale, soy Regina, querida." (mad after Mista Boo called her Valentina once again during La Más Fichera).
(to Mista Boo during their conflict in La Más Fichera).
(after Rudy Reyes revealed that her mother helped her prepare her outfits for the show).
  • "¡Arriba Chihuahua cabrones!" (as a sign of sisterhood after winning the lipsync over Huntyy B).
(as La India María during La Más Famosa).
  • "Imagínense, yo soltero y me ponen a este papachurro ahí alado." (about Quecho Muñoz).
  • "Estoy obsesionada con él. Quiero poseerlo, hacerlo mío. Aunque luego me aburra y me estorbe y llegue a odiarlo. SÍ, odiarlo. Porque me conozco y sé que soy bien payasa." (as La Pascualita during La Más Legendaria).
(shading Mista Boo after being sent to the bottom during La Más Bella Señorita México).
  • "La Más Draga cumple sueños hermanas." (after being paired up with Paco Del Mazo for La Más Buchona).
(working with Paco Del Mazo).
(following her elimination).
  • "Hola, soy yo, ¡Regina!" (mimicking Valentina's Season 9 entrance line).

Trivia[]

  • She is the first contestant from the state of Aguascalientes to compete on La Más Draga.
  • Based on the opening sequence, the Lotería card assigned to Regina was La Cabra. The number on her card also indicates that she was the first contestant cast for the season.[5]
  • Regina was one of the secret contestants of La Más Draga 3, along with Memo Reyri, Raga Diamante, StupiDrag and Yayoi Bowery. This meant that all five of them were directly cast in the show solely based on their audition tapes, without needing to be part of the live auditions.[6]
  • She was invited to perform as Selena on Eva Blunt's drag wedding. This was also the first time she had a formal encounter with the producers of La Más Draga, which Regina admits probably helped her get invited for Season 3.[7]
    • In fact, Regina originally had planned to impersonate Selena for La Más Famosa, but decided not to in order to present something completely fresh.[8]
  • Regina was the first contestant from La Más Draga to be eliminated by their tied win partner.
  • She was the only contestant interviewed for Tú Las Traes from her season that wasn't out of drag for the segment. Instead, she was seen wearing her Día de Muertas Look.
    • This was due to the fact that La Más Antojable (her Tú Las Traes episode) and the reunion were filmed back to back, meaning Regina had no time to get out of drag to film her interview.[9]
    • Interestingly, when her respective Tú Las Traes episode was released (November 18, 2020), the reunion had not aired yet (November 24, 2020), meaning Regina spoiled her runway look almost a week earlier.
  • She started her career imitating Valentina, with the character of Regina Bronx not being created until three months before her participation on the show.[8]
    • Because of this, plenty of comparisons were made between the two of them, with several of her castmates jokingly referring to her as Valentina during the show.[10]
    • A bottle of Valentina Hot Sauce that appeared in the background was relabeled as Salsa Regina (Regina Hot Sauce) instead.[11]
    • Iviza Lioza also said to her the infamous Aja quote "You're perfect, you're beautiful..." during the first episode of El Salseo.[12]
    • Her run on the show was also heavily compared to Valentina's on All Stars 4: both were up for elimination 3 times, won only one challange, were high for one challange, were safe for the rest and ultimately placed 7th despite originally reaching the Top 6 due to another contestant returning to the competition.
    • Valentina went on to state her support towards her, but couldn't recall her last name at first, calling her Regina Sparks.[13]
    • Valentina would also lent her the dress she used to announce Season 10's Miss Congeniality for the finale of Season 3 of La Más Draga. She accompanied her during the event as well.[10]
