The second season of Drag Race España was officially announced by ATRESplayer PREMIUM on August 31, 2021.[1] The show aired on ATRESplayer PREMIUM in Spain and select territories on WOW Presents Plus.
Casting for Season 2 opened on August 31, 2021[2] and closed on October 15, 2021.[3]
In the ATRESplayer PREMIUM Day, an event that happened on December 13, 2021, to announce the streaming service's next projects, it was confirmed that the season would feature twelve contestants and two more competitive episodes than the first season. Additionally, Ana Locking, Javier Ambrossi and Javier Calvo were confirmed to be returning as regular judges, with Supremme de Luxe as host and judge.[4]
On January 24, 2022, a Cast Reveal date of February 20 was announced.[5] On February 20, the twelve contestants competing for the title of España's Next Drag Superstar were announced. The promo theme was Green, Fuchsia and Purple.[6]
The winner of the season was Sharonne, with Estrella Xtravaganza and Venedita Von Däsh placing as the Runners-Up. Samantha Ballentines won the title of Miss Congeniality at the reunion.

The Cast of Season 2 Reunited

- Discussions: Estrella's and Marina's double shantay, Sharonne being a clear frontrunner among the other contestants, Venedita being the first finalist, the eliminated contestants' audition tapes, Estrella's and Samantha's friendship and loud humor, Jota's apparent lies, Diamante pretending to not knowing how to sew, Marina's farting and conflict with Juriji, the conflict between Sethlas, Juriji and Marina that arose after the ¿Quién debería ser eliminada esta noche? question, all the eliminated contestants (sans Juriji) walk the runway with one of their looks that they weren't able to show, the finalists comment about why they should win, Samantha is crowned the Miss Congeniality of Season 2 of Drag Race España.
