The Switch Drag Race: Desafío Mundial is the second season of The Switch Drag Race. It premiered on MEGA TV on March 25, 2018, with 15 contestants from Chile and from other countries, divided into 2 teams according to their country.
The winner of The Switch Drag Race receives a cash prize of CLP$20,000,000 (≈ $30,000 USD).[1] At the end of the season, Miss Leona was crowned the winner.
About The Show[]
The show did not change very much from its first season. The difference is that this season, Chilean contestants will have to face international Spanish-speakers. The group of nationals is made up of some of the transformistas who participated in the first season: Luna, Sofía, Arianda, Fernanda, Laura and Luz Violeta. The group of foreign transformistas, meanwhile, is made up of: Franciska "Pakita", Pável, Diva, Leona, Marie, Kandy and Gia. Advanced some chapters, there were two competitors who joined later, without having competed from the beginning: the Chilean Francisca del Solar and the Puerto Rican Rochelle Mon Chéri.
Both Chilean and foreign make up these groups that compete against each other. Advanced chapters and having several eliminated, two groups are made that combine Chilean with foreign: Divas vs. Queens
This program consists of the competitors having to carry out different tests, adding some that were not in the first season, such as the leaders test and the nomination mirror.
Each team must perform what is indicated by the Coaches, such as imitating a singer, a movie dance, etc., the worst evaluated of each team will face in the extreme imitation duel.
- Artistic Test: Each team must perform what is indicated by the Coaches, such as imitating a singer, a movie dance, etc., the worst evaluated of each team will face in the Extreme Impersonation Test.
- Extreme Impersonation Test: The 2 worst evaluated will fight a duel imitating 2 video clips of famous singers, counting costumes, lip-sync, and choreography. For this, they will have 2 hours to prepare the choreography and lip-sync, and 20 (after that the time decreases to 15) minutes to dress and characterize. The loser drags her team to the Singing Gala. From Chapter 20, leaders also mourn. In Chapter 29, in the last Extreme Impersonation Test, the entire team also duel.
- Singing Gala: The contestants of the losing team of the Extreme Impersonation Test must sing a song that they choose, getting the singing notes, stage mastery, and costumes. The worst evaluated will be the 2nd duelist. The jury will give a score from 1 to 7, the latter being the highest note.
- Nomination Mirror: The winning team of the Extreme Impersonation Test will nominate one of the losing team members to the Elimination Duel, without the possibility of singing, the one that gets the most votes, will be sent directly to the divas duel, forcing it to compete with the worst evaluated of the Singing Gala.
- Elimination Duel: The worst evaluated in the Singing Gala will be dueled with the most voted in the Nomination Mirror, getting the singing points, stage dominance, and costumes. The worst rated will be removed from the academy and The Switch 2.
- The Show of Their Lives: In the semifinals, contestants must choose a show with any theme (Singing, Dancing, Lip-Sync, etc.) to advance to the next semifinal.

En el capítulo de este domingo 25 de marzo de "The Switch 2", fuimos testigos de una escena que trajo más de una polémica. Y es que tras conocerlas por televisión, las participantes chilenas tuvieron que verse las caras con las extranjeras.
Debido a que las extranjeras son una persona más que las chilenas, éstas últimas debieron elegir a la primer nominada para ir al duelo de eliminación. En la academia, Fernanda Brown contó los motivos por el cual escogieron a una de ellas.
Minutos antes de pararse ante los jueces e interpretar una canción de Shakira, Marie Laveau decidió afeitarse la barba, tras una larga conversación con la líder de equipo, Gia Gunn.

The participants, had to submit themselves to a completely blind activity, since they had to make-over a companion blindfolded. Furthermore, Francisca del Solar and Kandy Ho, faced each other in a imitation duel.
