Werq The World: The Docu-Series is not to be confused with Werq The World Tour

The Werq The World Series features the talent from the esteemed drag world tour, Werq The World, produced by Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato, Tom Campbell, Steven Sims, and World of Wonder Productions and directed by Jasper Rischen.

The specific tour featured in Season 1 is part of the European Leg and features the legendary and talented queens Detox, Valentina, Shangela, Violet Chachki, Sharon Needles, Aquaria, Latrice Royale, Kennedy Davenport, Kim Chi, and Alyssa Edwards.

Following its debut a month prior, it was announced on July 11, 2019 that a second season will be filmed and distributed on WOW Presents Plus. This time the focus cast will be Kameron Michaels, Vanessa Vanjie Mateo, Naomi Smalls, Plastique Tiara, current reigning Drag Super Star Yvie Oddly, and recent inductee into the Drag Race Hall of Fame, Monét X Change. The second season will also include Season 1 cast members Aquaria and Detox.

Episode 1: Aquaria[]

Air Date: June 7, 2019

Synopsis: Follow Aquaria as she rides the highs and lows of joining a major tour for the first time and her fate on RuPaul's Drag Race Season 10 hangs in the balance. From swapping wigs with her Drag and Tour mom, Sharon Needles, to anxiously waiting to find out if she won Season 10, Aquaria uses her time on the Werq The World tour to solidify her legacy and grow as a performer.

Episode 2: Valentina[]

Air Date: June 14, 2019

Synopsis: Valentina, the Miss Congeniality of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9, tries to keep up with the fast pace and intense hustle of an international tour. Candidly, we see how Valentina survives the non-glamour of economy European flights and13 hour bus rides across the continent, while speaking frankly about her long-time struggles with depression. While her tardiness often upsets the other queens along the way, Valentina’s charm ultimately steals everyone's heart as she chases her true purpose in the spotlight of the stage.

Episode 3: Kim Chi[]

Air Date: June 20, 2019

Synopsis: Follow Kim Chi as she transforms into Queen Serenity in front of euphoric crowds and bonds with the beloved Werq the World dancers on 5am ferry rides to Copenhagen. She is the self-proclaimed “jokester” of the tour and while her cooperative nature earns her the title “Employee of the Month” by the production crew, the other queens name her the “shadiest of all!" In the immortal words of Valentina, she trolls the other Queens with her “hyper-galactic shade!"

Episode 4: Latrice Royale[]

Air Date: June 27, 2019

Synopsis: Follow Latrice Royale as she truly embodies the phrase Make It Work! From lost luggage to a late bus, Latrice faces intense trials and tribulations to live up to her legendary status. Not only is she the rock of the tour, but she's tour mom and auntie to multiple Queens as unexpected friendships flourish.

Episode 5: Violet Chachki[]

Air Date: July 12, 2019

Synopsis: Violet Chachki is known as a Fashion Diva in the glamorous world of Moschino with her mind blowing burlesque and stunningly beautiful aerial numbers. Violet intimately divulges the origin of her drag persona as we get an up close opportunity to follow her during a fashion photoshoot in Paris within the demanding schedule of the tour.

Episode 6: Detox[]

Air Date: July 18, 2019

Synopsis: We follow iconic queen, Detox, on her last show day in Paris, as she prepares to do her sleek and sexy number for the final time before leaving the tour. The “auntie” of the tour is easily ticked off when other queens are late, but somehow she always finds a loving way to whip them into shape.

Episode 7: Kennedy Davenport[]

Air Date: July 25, 2019

Synopsis: Kennedy Davenport, one of the hardest-busting dancing queens in the business, takes us behind the curtain as she readies her high energy performance that kicks off the show almost every night! We see Miss Davenport’s hilariously authentic self shine through while learning about her strong work ethic, background, and inspiring passion for the art of drag.

Episode 8: Sharon Needles[]

Air Date: August 1, 2019

Synopsis: Sharon Needles, the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 4 is clear on one thing, she hates being filmed. Yet it’s quite impossible to avoid her raw charisma and intellectual wit under her sometimes controversial behavior. Since taking time to work more on her music than classic drag appearances, Sharon struggles with choreography and costume reveals until she finds her spooky groove performing her hit track - Black Licorice.This episode is a deliciously dark treat for sure.

Episode 9: Alyssa Edwards[]

Air Date: August 8, 2019

Synopsis: Alyssa Edwards needs no introduction. A powerhouse queen on stage who also makes you feel like you’re her best friend behind the curtain when those cameras start to roll. Alyssa’s hypnotizing personality and high octane energy blows in like a hurricane during this epic tour stop in Barcelona, Spain.

Air Date: August 15, 2019

Synopsis: You’ve met the Queens of Werq the World, now get ready to see how the tour comes together with the crew that makes it all happen. Peep in on the hot dancers and cute assistants who spill all the tea on what it’s really like to work with such high demanding superstars.

Synopsis: Famously known as the Beyoncé of drag, Shangela, from All Stars 3 lovingly shares with us what her personal life was like growing up and her beautiful journey on the road to drag.

Synopsis: As we mark the fourth anniversary of the deadly shooting attack on Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Detox returns to the site of the tragedy, a place she knows well. A place where she once worked. A place where she crafted the persona that would ultimately carry her to the world stage.

Synopsis: Superstar Plastique Tiara may not have made Top 4 on Season 11, but she most definitely earns her spot amongst the legends on the Werq the World tour.

Synopsis: Werq the World director Jasper Rischen turns the camera to show never-before-seen footage from the first two seasons. Plus, watch Kennedy Davenport join the Season 2 queens as a special guest on one of the tour’s final stops.
