Yayoi Bowery is a Mexican drag queen and performer, best known for being a contestant on Season 3 of the YouTube show La Más Draga.
About[]
Yayoi considers herself a mix of cosplay and pop culture, but without neglecting her Mexican side. What she likes the most is creating outfits that make an impact, no matter if they are aesthetic, comic or grotesque.[3]
Drag Name Origin[]
Yayoi comes from the Japanese contemporary artist Yayoi Kusama, while Bowery comes from the Australian performance artist and fashion designer, Leigh Bowery. She considers them both to be some of her favorite artists.[4]

Trivia[]
- Yayoi is the drag daughter of Margaret Y Ya (from Season 1).[5]
- This makes Amelia, Deseos Fab, Memo Reyri and Soro Nasty her drag siblings.
- Yayoi, along with Amelia and Memo, also made a brief appearance during Margaret's finale performance at the Season 1 finale.[6]
- All three of them were also featured on Margaret´s official music video for La Más Draga: "Qué Calor!".[7]
- Yayoi was one of the secret contestants of La Más Draga 3, along with Memo Reyri, Raga Diamante, Regina Bronx and StupiDrag. This meant that all five of them were directly cast in the show solely based on their audition tapes, without needing to be part of the live auditions.[8]
- Based on the opening sequence, the Lotería card assigned to Yayoi was El Origami. The number on her card also indicates that she was the third contestant cast for the season.[9]
- Yayoi was asked to name the first eliminated contestants of the previous seasons of La Más Draga during the Trivia mini-challenge in Episode 1. Coincidentally, she would join them one episode later by becoming the first eliminated contestant of Season 3.
- She was the first contestant to place 13th on La Más Draga.
- Yayoi would continue the trend set by Cordelia Durango of the first eliminated contestant being from Mexico City. The trend was also followed by Nina De La Fuente and Aurora Wonders.
- Similarly, Yayoi would continue the trend set by Nina De La Fuente of the first eliminated contestant being a secret contestant. This also happened with Aurora.
- She designed and made all her looks for La Más Draga.[10]
- She stopped doing her signature white-faced makeup due to it being inspired by club kid founder and convicted criminal Michael Alig.[11]
- The producers have admitted that, had there been an elimination on Episode 1, it would have most likely been Yayoi.[8]
- She originally planned to do a DJ performance using iconic phrases from previous seasons for her talent show in Episode 1. However, she was forced to change it at the last minute after one of her cats made her laptop, where she had her set recorded, fall and become unusable two days before filming began.[10]
- The song she ended up singing for her talent show was "Rompecabezas" by Madisson, a band which Yayoi's sister is part of.[10]
- With an average score of 5.5, Yayoi currently holds the worst track record out of any contestant of La Más Draga that competed for more than one episode.
