Grag Queen is a Brazilian drag performer and one of the contestants of the first season of Queen of the Universe.

Grag was later crowned the first-ever Queen of the Universe at the finale.

She was later announced as the host of Drag Race Brasil.[6]


Queen of the Universe Season 1

Brazilian bombshell Grag Queen grew up singing in church at an early age. She now finds herself belting to the masses on social media with two million TikTok fans, all of whom love her outrageous performances and over-the-top personality.[5]

Drag Name Origin

"So I gotta say, I'm a Grag Queen. It's more than a drag queen, because actually I know it doesn't look like, but I'm a man. And my name is Grégory, so a Grégory who does drag. Why not? Bitch, Grag Queen."[7]

  • Grag is the third Brazilian queen to enter a drag competition series produced by World of Wonder, after Diva Houston, a contestant of the second season of The Switch Drag Race and Miss Abby OMG from the first season of Drag Race Holland.
  • Grag won the biggest amount of money from any drag competition ever ($250k).
  • In Brazilian currency, Grag became a millionaire (≈ R$ 1,4 million as of December 30, 2021).
  • During an interview, Grag stated that when the casting for Queen of the Universe opened, she didn't have any looks ready, didn't have a passport nor was vaccinated against COVID-19, as the vaccine was not available in her city at the time.[8]
  • Grag started doing drag in 2018.[3]
  • Grag was part of a drag music duo called "Armário de Saia" alongside her friend Wes.[9]
  • Grag is the first Queen of the Universe alum to become a Drag Race host.
  • Grag Queen drew inspiration from Supremme de Luxe's hosting style for presenting Drag Race Brasil.[10]
  • The invitation for Drag Race Brasil came from RuPaul himself, and there were no auditions for the role.[10]
  • During filming, Grag would wake up at 3AM, and would take five hours for her makeup artist, Koichi Sonoda, to finish her makeup.[10]
  • She did not know any of the contestants of Drag Race Brasil (Season 1) prior the season.[10]
  • Brandon Creed, Lizzo's manager, asked Grag to move to Los Angeles and sign a contract with them.[10]
