Trivia[]
- Hellena Malditta was born in São Gonçalo, in the state of Rio de Janeiro. She moved to Juazeiro, Bahia, at the age of 2, and later to Salvador when she was 9.[3]
- Her promo look was inspired by Cuca, a character from the Brazilian folklore. The look was previously worn by Brazilian influencer Mari Gonzalez.[6]
- Some of her inspirations to start doing drag were Adore Delano, Violet Chachki, and Miss Fame.[7]
- Hellena once considered moving to Spain in order to compete on Drag Race España, despite not speaking Spanish.[7]
- Hellena designed some of the outfits Vania Vainilla wore on Drag Race España Season 3, including her promo,[8] entrance,[9] colores,[10] mi peor yo,[11] and peluca palooza[12] looks.
- Her entrance look was inspired by Ra'Jah O'Hara's entrance for Canada's Drag Race: Canada vs The World.[13]
- Hellena is HIV positive, and she started doing drag as a relief valve from the diagnosis.[14]
- The headpiece she wore for her Glamazônia was lent to Hellena by Tristan Soledade.[15]
- Her Festival de Parintins look was also Tristan's, while her Maracatu outfit was originally from Melusine Sparkle.[16][17] Later, she clarified that she only brought her Bate-bola outfit because, after looking at the list of possible runways, thought she had to choose to present only one of the categories of the triple runway, not all of them.[18]
