Icesis Couture is a Canadian drag performer and one of the contestants of the second season of Canada's Drag Race.

Icesis would later be crowned Canada's Next Drag Superstar at the finale.

Icesis would later return to compete on Canada's Drag Race: Canada vs The World Season 1.

Trivia[]

  • Icesis, alongside fellow Season 2 competitor Adriana, are the first queens of Latin American descent to compete on Canada's Drag Race.
    • This makes her the first Latin American winner on the Canadian series.
  • Icesis has a younger brother, named Randy Granados, that also does drag. Their drag name is Savannah Couture.[8][9]
  • Icesis is Miss Capital Pride 2020.[10][11]
  • Icesis is the second queen to win her first episode and lipsync the following episode, after Denali.
    • However, Icesis is the first to do this within the first two episodes.
  • Icesis won both design challenges in her season, which were both her overall wins (two).
  • Icesis shares a few similarities with Season 1 runner-up Rita Baga. Both of them won episodes 1 and 6, placed in the bottom two twice (one of their bottoms being the Makeover Challenge and the last possible competitive bottom placement of the season) and lip synced the last three episodes.
  • Icesis also shares a few similarities with Season 1 winner Priyanka. As both won two maxi challenges and had two bottom placements.
  • Icesis the first winner to lip sync for their life in episode 2.
  • In both episodes that Pythia won (episodes 2 and 8), Icesis was in the bottom two.
  • When she was younger, Icesis had transitioned and lived as a trans woman for a certain period of time.[12]
  • Her drag daughter, Kimmy Couture, is a contestant on Season 3 of Canada's Drag Race, the season that followed her own season.
  • Makayla Couture, Icesis' makeover partner, later went on to appear on Call Me Mother Season 2.
  • Icesis is the second winner to compete on an elimination-format All Stars/a vs. the World season, after BeBe Zahara Benet when she appeared on RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars (Season 3).
    • However, she is the first winner to be announced alongside the main cast, as BeBe was revealed as a surprise contestant during All Stars 3's premiere.
  • Icesis spent $70,000 dollars for Canada vs The World.[13]
  • Icesis is the only contestant from Canada vs The World to never place below safe.
  • She is the first queen to quit on a vs The World season.
  • The outfit that Icesis wore for the Season 2 reunion was actually a mini challenge outfit because production told the Top 4 that they were preparing for a mini challenge, yet when they arrived on the Main Stage, it turned out to be a reunion.[11]
  • Icesis is open to compete in an All Stars/All Winners season.[14]
  • In an unseen exclusive on the Canada's Drag Race social medias, Canada's Drag Race season 5 contestant Uma Gahd confirmed her and Icesis dated when in high school, before either had started drag.[15]
