Jarvis Hammer is an American drag performer and one of the contestants of the fifth season of The Boulet Brothers' Dragula.

Drag Name Origin[]

His drag name came from the Pulp frontman, Jarvis Cocker combined with Hammer Horror Films, a British film production company.[4]

Trivia[]

  • Jarvis is Uruguayan-American, and was born in London, England.
  • Jarvis, along with Throb Zombie, are the second pair of drag kings to compete on Dragula after Season 3 winner Landon Cider.
    • Interestingly, Landon Cider joins the panel as a rotating judge on Season 5, the one in which Jarvis competes.[5]
  • Jarvis is the third monster to win the Key of Life after Dollya Black and Jade Jolie, granting him the ability to put another monster up for extermination.
    • Both Jade and Jarvis similarly ended being exterminated in a following floorshow.
  • Jarvis's Monster Of Rock Look got inspiration from David Bowie, and is the only look that he shows his natural skin color.
    • In the majority of his looks on the show, he painted himself in teal to represent his ghost character.
  • Jarvis is the first drag king to be exterminated from the show.
    • Due to the special format of the Monsters Of Rock challenge, Jarvis became the first monster to be exterminated in front of other competitors right after losing an extermination challenge.
    • The production played into his ghost persona by creating an extermination that fit Jarvis's origin story.[6] In his origin story, Jarvis died "by spotlight" and was crushed by a set of spotlights in his extermination scene. In his final confession, Jarvis also slowly faded from the scene like a ghost.
  • Jarvis' favorite horror movie is "Dracula A.D. 1972"[7]
  • If Jarvis had reached Episode 5 and wasn't up for extermination, he would have volunteered as he is the only member of the cast without a tattoo.
