Joslyn's first appearance on RuPaul's Drag Race was through her audition tape that was shown during Episode 1 of Season 3 ("Casting Extravaganza") and Episode 12 of Season 4. She's shown discussing a shower curtain for which she has "many many uses".

She first appeared as a part of the show's cast in Episode 2 of Season 6, as part of the second group of seven contestants entered the competition. Joslyn walked into the "Werk Room" wearing a lot of jewelry and accessories, on which Bianca Del Rio commented saying, "She looks like she fell on a sales rack at Claire's and said, 'I'll take it!'"

During Joslyn's first main challenge, she was given a box of "quinceañera" themed supplies in which she had to make an outfit front. The judges criticized her outfit for being "too busy" and "too colorful".

During the show, Joslyn was initially ecstatic about competing with her idol Courtney Act, however, she began to idolize Courtney less after Courtney made comments to her about her being the "low-rent version of Courtney Act", being the "Dida Ritz" of Season 6, and that her drag is not on the same level as other contestants. On an Instagram live (as of January 26, 2021), Joslyn confirmed that the drama between her and Courtney Act was "pushed by the producers". Joslyn also confirmed that her and her husband would keep up with the rumored cast videos on YouTube. She noticed Courtney Act on these lists. When Courtney walked into the workroom, Joslyn remembered, "Oh, she is the Australian queen who can sing!".

Joslyn won the mini-challenge on Episode 8, " Comedy Queens", where the queens had to do a stand-up routine in front of an audience of senior citizens. Joslyn won the chance to decide in which order the queens would appear on stage to do their routine. Joslyn chose to appear before Bianca Del Rio, who won the main challenge, a mistake which placed her in the bottom two, lipsyncing against Laganja Estranja, who ended up being eliminated.

On Episode 9, Joslyn felt that she offended another one of her idols, guest judge singer Georgia Holt when she asked her about her stance on abortion during the main challenge which was to interview Georgia Holt and Chaz Bono in a talk show setting. Joslyn commented that she could never forgive herself for offending Georgia, a woman that she idolized.

During the show, she referred to herself as being the "black" horse of the competition, a comment in which a producer asked her "don't you mean the dark horse"?

In episode 10, the girls had to dress up grooms in drag to look like brides. Joslyn was accused of giving her bride metallic-looking makeup and a strangely proportioned dress. Bianca Del Rio commented, "She looks like that one girl gremlin." Because of this, she was placed in the bottom two and had to lip-sync for her life against Adore Delano.

Drag Name Origin[]

She picked Billie Wicked before her first show, as Billie was more of a man’s name and Wicked was a shout out to her Massachusetts roots. Before she went on stage, the other queens insisted that she changed her name. The name that everyone agreed upon was Joslyn. When she was first auditioning for the show they asked for a last name so Fox came later from a friend who saw her walking along a sidewalk and texted saying she looked like a stone-cold fox. She liked the way the word describes enigmatic sexiness that can’t be forced. Her drag mother is Lady Sabrina.

Farewell Message[]

"Forever Sisters: Keep It Foxy! Love Your Guts! Joslyn ♡"

Finale[]

"Miss Congeniality" is a title Joslyn set out to win in the competition, as she stated in Episode 2. The title was won by BenDeLaCreme instead. During the Reunion Episode, Joslyn married her fiancé, André Girouard on stage in front of a live audience with RuPaul serving as the ordained minister.

The decision for Miss Congeniality received mixed responses, with many fans arguing that BenDeLaCreme only won the vote because she missed out on a spot in the top 4 (despite Season 4's 4th place contestant Latrice Royale being that season's Miss Congeniality) and that Joslyn was more deserving of the title. Even Season 6 winner Bianca Del Rio would later go on to agree with this opinion during a live performance at the club Emerald City in Pensacola, Florida.

Trivia[]

  • She is a dog lover and owns 4 dogs.
  • She has severe ADHD and is very easily distracted, as mentioned in her stand-up routine.
  • A snippet of her season 4 audition tape can be seen in the finale episode, in which she is giving a tour of her drag closet.
  • Joslyn confirmed on an Instagram Live that the drama between her and Courtney Act was edged on by the producers. This was because the producers said the cast for their season was "too nice" and there was not enough drama being made. Joslyn only knew about Courtney since Joslyn would watch the rumored lists with her husband at the time and saw Courtney Act on those lists. When Courtney walked in, Joslyn recognized her from the lists, to which the producers took advantage of.
  • Joslyn confirmed on an Instagram Live that she would not return for All Stars.
  • Joslyn is the highest placing contestant of Season 6 to not win a challenge.
  • Joslyn is the only queen in the franchise to get married during the filming of the finale.
