Kornbread "The Snack" Jeté is an American drag performer and one of the contestants of the fourteenth season of RuPaul's Drag Race.

Kornbread would later be voted Miss Congeniality by her fellow castmates.

Drag Name Origin

"I watch these prison shows, and there was this lady on there and her husband was cheating on her, she caught him, and they were eating cornbread and she shot him at the table, but the people in the prison would not eat cornbread with her because, you know, she shot her husband, so her name was Cornbread. So I'm like, if I ever became a drag queen, Kornbread would be it. And then voilà, here I am [...]"[1]

  • Kornbread, along with Kerri Colby, Bosco, Jasmine Kennedie, and Willow Pill is one of five trans women to compete on the fourteenth season of RuPaul's Drag Race, making the most amount of transgender contestants to compete on one season.
    • Bosco would later come out as transgender.[7]
    • During Episode 7's Untucked, which aired on February 18, 2022, Jasmine Kennedie came out as a trans woman.
    • Willow Pill would later come out via Instagram on March 4, 2022. Making her the 5th queen in the cast to be transgender
    • Coincidentally, Elise is Kornbread's middle name and Elyse is Kerri's first name out of drag.
  • Kornbread is the drag daughter of Calypso Jeté Balmain,[8][9] winner of the first season of the ballroom competition Legendary as part of the House of Balmain.
    • Kornbread and Calypso have been best friends for about ten years.[10]
  • Along with Calypso Jeté, Kyra Jeté, and Hershii LiqCour-Jeté, the four form the Haus of Jeté.[11]

    • Similarly to Veronica, Kornbread is the lowest placing Maxi Challenge winner of their season, and therefore is the second Drag Race contestant to be the lowest placing Maxi Challenge winner due to a removal from the competition.
  • Kornbread is currently the lowest placing challenge winner on the show, placing 12th due to her medical removal.
  • Kornbread revealed that if she had made it to the Season 14 Snatch Game, she would have portrayed Leslie Jordan, because according to her, "he is a funny, short, Caucasian man – I’m the complete opposite! But I enjoy his mannerisms and his speech and his tone."[17]
  • Kornbread has a tattoo of Willow Pill on her left thigh.[18]
  • On both her first and last competitive episode she featured in on Season 14 (episodes 1 and 5), Orion Story was eliminated.

  • On March 17, 2022, Kornbread confirmed via her Twitter account that she won't be returning to compete on Season 15 nor any All Stars (at this time). She further clarified that this wasn't her decision.[20][21]
  • Kornbread is the only contestant on Season 14 to never place in the bottom and consequently never lip sync for her life.
  • Kornbread is the third queen did not leave a mirror message for the remaining queens, after Anastarzia Anaquway and Victoria Scone.
  • Kornbread is the first trans woman of color to win the title of Miss Congeniality on RuPaul's Drag Race.
  • Kornbread states that she will do drag for three years top (as of 2022) and then focus on her musical theater acting because drag is only an outlet for her. [22]
