Kornbread "The Snack" Jeté is the stage name of Demoria Elise Williams,[1][2] a drag performer and one of the contestants of the fourteenth season of RuPaul's Drag Race.


The bakery is open and Kornbread is being served! This L.A. queen is a performance powerhouse with a deliciously sassy personality. She will leave you gooped, gagged and gandered, and wanting a taste of what she's cooking![7]

Drag Name Origin

"I watch these prison shows, and there was this lady on there and her husband was cheating on her, she caught him, and they were eating cornbread and she shot him at the table, but the people in the prison would not eat cornbread with her because, you know, she shot her husband, so her name was Cornbread. So I'm like, if I ever became a drag queen, Kornbread would be it. And then voilà, here I am [...]"[3]

  • Kornbread, along with Kerri Colby, is one of two trans women of color to compete on the fourteenth season of RuPaul's Drag Race.
    • Coincidentally, Elise is Kornbread's middle name and Elyse is Kerri's first name out of drag.
  • Kornbread is the drag daughter of Calypso Jeté Balmain,[8][9] winner of the first season of the ballroom competition Legendary as part of the House of Balmain.
    • Kornbread and Calypso have been best friends for about ten years.[10]
  • Along with Calypso Jeté, Kyra Jeté, and Hershii LiqCour-Jeté, the four form the Haus of Jeté.[11]
  • Kornbread rose to popularity doing sketch comedy on Brandon Rogers' YouTube channel.[12]
    • Kornbread also made an appearence in an episode of the Fine Brother's REACT in which she reacts to RuPaul's Drag Race with teenagers.[13]
    • She was also in an episode of Jubilee's Spectrum series.[14]
  • Kornbread's entrance line is a reference to how she ends each of her Instagram posts, using the same quote at the end of each caption.[2]
  • Kornbread revealed in Episode 1 that during her religious upbringing, her pastor publicly shamed her for being fat and claimed there were devils inside her; as retaliation, she farted on the pastor.[citation needed]
