Having begun his career as a dancer and choreographer, he revealed that he wrestled with feelings of depression and dissatisfaction during the airing of All Stars 8. He felt overshadowed by the exaggerated comedic aspects of drag, which often led people to overlook the artistry and sincerity behind it. For LaLa, the drag experience became isolating and divergent from his true artistic pursuits. He also stated that, moving forward, he aims to refocus his creative energy toward making music and acting, aspiring to create works that resonate with a broader audience instead of catering solely to the drag scene. He expressed a desire to make music that reflects his personal experiences and identity, independent of his drag background. LaLa plans to retain his stage name and the essence of "The LaLa Ri Experience," transitioning it from drag conventions to focus on music, fashion, and new forms of performance. [3]
