- On Episode 24 (Week 8) from The Switch Drag Race 2 Laura said onstage right after her elimination that she was quitting drag and after a heartfelt speech where she thanked all of the judges she took her wig, earrings and lashes off. All 3 judges gave her a standing ovation.[2]
- Later she clarified she said all of that in the heat of the moment during the show because she was extremely upset that she got sent home going against Fernanda Brown who in her words "is not a singer". She retired from drag for two years (2016-2018) before making a comeback. [3]
- During filming, Production showed Laura pictures of Ginger Minj for her to use as an inspiration/reference for her drag outfits and costumes that she'd wear on the show.[3]
