Light King chose her name in honor of her parents who, despite them not fully supporting her decision to do drag, she wanted to still include them somehow into her drag journey. Both parts of her name come from their names translated to English: Luz from her mother and Rey from her father.[4]

"La idea es que todo el día vivamos como una fiesta y celebremos lo que somos y no dejemos morir ese ser infante."
"Al revisar este caso, puedo analizar que están de inventadas." (during Caso Dragueado).

Trivia
Her name was originally misspelled as "Ligth King" on the mini promos. This was later fixed.[5]
Light King was one of the secret contestants of La Más Draga 5, along with Isabella y Catalina and Paper Cut, meaning they did not need to participate in the live auditions in order to be cast. In the case of Light King and Isabella y Catalina, they got cast based on their audition tapes.[6]
Feeling extremely nervous when receiving the call to be on the season, she had her boyfriend answer the call and pretend to be her while talking to the producers.[7]
Light King and Gretha White were the original bottom two for La Más A Color, but Light King had immunity due to being on the winning team for the mini challenge of that episode. In her place, Aisha Dollkills was pushed to the lip sync.
Light King was notably the first one to achieve this record.
Light King is the first ever contestant from La Más Draga to quit the competition.
Even before being declared in the bottom on Episode 7, she had already revealed to Fifí Estah that she would quit the competition if she was to lip sync against her.[8]
She ultimately decided to remove herself from the show in order to take care of her mental health, as she felt that the competition was taking a toll on her.[9]
Between all her looks for the season, she spent approximately MXN $60,000 (USD $3,070).[3]
Had she not chosen to do drag, she would've loved to be a tattoo artist.[3]
Even though Light King actually completed a tattoo apprenticeship, she didn't have the resourcers to buy the necessary equipment and thus, was forced to leave this on standby.[3]
Upon her arrival to Mexico in order to film, Light King was the victim of homophobic and xenophobic violence from the custom officers. They ended up damaging some of her looks and throwing all of her makeup to the floor, all while calling her homophobic slurs and almost forcing her to hand them her cellphone, her only way of communicating with the producers who were outside the airport.[3]
Letal has revealed that she was motivated to experiment a lot more with her makeup and looks for La Más Draga (Season 5) after she was told that Light King would be on the season.[10]
Despite being present at the finale and having her song prepared, Light King ultimately decided to not be part of El Chou de Las Muertas and did not perform onstage.
She has commented that this was due to the lack of a proper rehearsal, following the news about her father being in critical condition and some work matters that made finding time to rehearse complicated, as well as a couple of last minute changes made to her song.[11]
This makes Light King the only contestant of La Más Draga to not perform in their respective finale.
