A Lip Sync for Your Life is the most common style of lip sync used on Canada's Drag Race.
At the end of each episode, the two queens who performed worst in that week's challenge will be placed up for elimination, indicating that they must lip sync for their life. Before the lip sync begins, the guest judge of each episode on Season 1 / Brooke Lynn Hytes (beginning Season 2) will state the following to the queens:
"Two queens stand before us. Ladies, this is your last chance to impress us, and save yourself from elimination. The time has come... for you to lip sync... FOR. YOUR. LIFE. Good luck, and don't fuck it up."

Following the lip sync, the judges vote for the queen they think performed best. This queen will then be told "Shantay, you stay." by Brooke Lynn, while the eliminated queen will be told to "Sashay away." In certain cases, both contestants may end up being saved by Brooke Lynn, or alternatively, more than one contestant may be eliminated.
Lip Sync for the Finale[]
The Lip Sync for the Finale was introduced during the ninth episode of the second season of the Canadian franchise, when judge Brad Goreski revealed during the reunion that the queens who have reached the Top 4 will compete in a lip-sync tournament to determine which queens will compete in the finale. Each queen picks a lipstick containing a song they would be lip-syncing to, and whichever two queens pick the same song will lip-sync against each other per round, with the winning queens automatically securing their spot in the finale. Before the lip sync begins, anyone from the judges' panel will state the following to the queens:
"Two queens stand before us. This is your chance to impress the judges, and earn your spot in the finale. The time has come... for you to lip sync... FOR. THE. FINALE. Good luck, and don't fuck it up."
Following the first two rounds of the lip sync, the judges vote for the queen they think performed best in each round. These queens will then be told that they would advance to the finale, while the losing queens will be told that they would have another chance to redeem themselves.
The queens who lost their rounds of the tournament will then lip-sync to determine which queen gets eliminated. Before the lip sync begins, anyone from the judges' panel will state the following to the queens:
"Two queens stand before us. Prior to tonight, you were asked to prepare a lip-sync performance of [artist]'s song [title]. Ladies, this is your last chance to impress us, and save yourself from elimination. The time has come... for you to lip sync... FOR. YOUR. LIFE. Good luck, and don't fuck it up."
Following this lip sync, the judges vote for the queen they think performed best. This queen will then be told that they would advance to the finale, while the losing queen will be told to "Sashay away."
Lip Sync for the Win[]
In episodes where every queen performs well during a challenge, or where particular queens stood out the most to Brooke Lynn, the Canadian franchise adopted the Lip Sync for the Win first seen in season 12 of the original American franchise. At the end of such episodes, or before the judges choose a bottom two who would Lip Sync for Their Lives, the queens who performed the best in that week's challenge will be deemed the top two queens, indicating that they must lip sync against each other to win the maxi-challenge's prize. Before the lip sync begins, Brooke Lynn Hytes will state the following to the queens:
"Two queens stand before us. Prior to tonight, you were asked to prepare a lip-sync performance of [song title] by [artist]. Ladies, this is your chance to impress us, and earn [maxi-challenge prize]. The time has come... for you to lip sync... FOR. THE. WIN. Good luck, and don't fuck it up."
Following the lip sync, the judges vote for the queen they think performed best. This queen will then be told by Brooke Lynn that they won that week's challenge, while the losing queen will be deemed safe.
