A Lip Sync for Your Life is the most common style of lip sync used on Drag Race Germany.
At the end of each episode, the two (or sometimes more) queens who performed worst in that week's challenge will be placed up for elimination, indicating that they must lip sync for their life. Before the lip sync begins, Barbie Breakout will state the following to the queens:
"Zwei/Drei queens stehen vor mir. In vorbereitung auf diesen moment haben wir euch gebeten eine lip-sync performance zu [artist]'s song [title] vorzubereiten. Das ist eure letzte chance mich und die judges zu beeindrucken, und euch vor der eliminierung zu schützen. The time has come... for you to lip-sync... FOR... YOUR... LIFE. Hals und beinbruch, and don't fuck it up."
Following the lip sync, the judges vote for the queen they think performed best. This queen will then be told "Shantay, you stay." by Barbie, while the eliminated queen will be told to "Sashay away." In certain cases, both contestants may end up being saved by Barbie.
Lip Sync for the Win[]
In episodes where every queen performs well during a challenge, the German franchise adopted the Lip Sync for the Win first seen in season 12 of the original American franchise. At the end of such episodes, the queens who performed the best in that week's challenge will be deemed the top two queens, indicating that they must lip sync against each other to win the maxi-challenge's prize. Before the lip sync begins, Barbie Breakout will state the following to the queens:
