A Lip Sync for Your Life is the most common style of lip sync used on Drag Race México. At the end of each episode, the two (or sometimes more) contestants who performed the worst in that week's challenge are placed up for elimination, indicating that they must lip sync to stay in the competition.
Following the lip sync, the judges deliberate on which of the contestants should stay, although the final decision is taken by the co-hosts. The contestant who is deemed to have performed best will be told to stay ("Shantay, te salvas."), while the other will be asked to leave ("Sashay, te marchas.") In certain cases, both contestants may end up being saved, or alternatively, more than one contestant may be eliminated.
Lip Sync for the Win[]
In episodes where every contestant performs well during a challenge, the Mexican franchise also adopted the Lip Sync for the Win first seen in the twelfth season of the original American franchise. At the end of such episodes, the contestants who performed the best in that week's challenge will be deemed the Top Two of the Week, indicating that they must lip sync against each other to win the maxi-challenge's prize.
Following the lip sync, the contestant who is deemed to have performed best will be told that they are the winner of that week's challenge, while the other will be deemed safe.

Trivia[]
- Óscar Madrazo has revealed that the judges originally wanted to eliminate both Miss Vallarta and Vermelha Noir after the lip sync on Episode 1, but the producers didn't allow it. Instead, the judges were asked to give the contestants another opportunity, resulting in the Double Shantay.[1]
- Segments of the second and third lip syncs were showcased during trailers and previews of the show, therefore spoiling the bottom two of those episodes.[2][3]
