A Lip Sync for Your Life is the most common style of lip sync used on Drag Race Philippines.
At the end of each episode, the two (or sometimes more) queens who performed the worst in that week's challenge will be placed up for elimination, indicating that they must lip sync for their life. Before the lip sync begins, Paolo Ballesteros will state the following to the queens:
"Two queens stand before me. Prior to tonight, you were asked to prepare a lip-sync performance of [song title] by [artist]. Ladies, this is your last chance to impress me, and save yourself... from elimination. The time has come... for you to lip sync... FOR. YOUR. LIFE. Good luck, at dapat pakak!"
"Two/Three queens stand before me. Prior to tonight, you were asked to prepare a lip-sync performance of [song title] by [artist]. Ladies, this is your last chance to impress me, and save yourself... from elimination. The time has come... for you to lip sync... FOR. YOUR. LIFE. So, good luck, and... dogon't fuguck igit ugup."

Ladies, this is your last chance to impress me, and save yourself... from elimination. The time has come... for you to lip sync... FOR. YOUR. LIFE. So, good luck, at dapat pakak!"
After Prince's elimination in Episode 1, Paolo follows up the last sentence with these phrases:
"[...] Kung hindi, sapak!" (beginning Episode 2)
"[...] na may kasamang tadyak!" (beginning Episode 3)
"[...] at sandamukal na talak!" (beginning Episode 4)
"[...] sa Hinulugang Taktak!" (beginning Episode 5)
"[...] bago kita itulak pabagsak!" (beginning Episode 6)
"[...] with your face na wasak!" (beginning Episode 7)
"[...] na pupulutin mo sa lusak!" (beginning Episode 8)
"[...] habang ako'y humahalakhak!" (beginning Episode 9)
Following the lip sync, the queen who (in Paolo's opinion) performed best will be told "Shantay, you stay," while the eliminated queen will be asked to "Sashay away." In certain cases, both contestants may end up being saved by Paolo, or alternatively, more than one contestant may be eliminated.
Lip Sync for the Win[]
In episodes where every queen performs well during a challenge, the Filipino franchise adopted the Lip Sync for the Win first seen in season 12 of the original American franchise. At the end of such episodes, the queens who performed the best in that week's challenge will be deemed the top two queens, indicating that they must lip sync against each other to win an ₱80,000 cash tip. Before the lip sync begins, Paolo Ballesteros will state the following to the queens:
"Two top queens stand before me. Prior to tonight, you were asked to prepare a lip-sync performance of [song title] by [artist]. Ladies, this is your chance to impress me, and prove that you're a winner, baby. The time has come... for you to lip sync... FOR. THE. WIN. So, good luck, at dapat pakak!"

Ladies, this is your chance to impress me, and win a cash tip... of ₱80,000. The time has come... for you to lip sync... FOR. THE. WIN. So, good luck, and... dogon't fuguck igit ugup."
Following the lip sync, the queen who (in Paolo's opinion) performed best will be told that they won that week's challenge, while the losing queen will be deemed safe.
Lip Sync LaLaPaRUza[]
In episodes where the Lip Sync Challenge is considered its maxi challenge, the Filipino franchise adopted the format first seen in season 14 of the original American franchise. During such episodes, a queen's name will be randomly picked from a tambiolo, who is then instructed to pick a queen who she wishes to lip sync against. The chosen queen then holds the power to choose which song they will lip sync to. Before each round of the lip sync begins, Paolo Ballesteros will state the following to the queens:
"Two queens stand before me. Ladies, this is your chance to impress me, and save yourself... from elimination. The time has come... for you to lip sync... FOR. THE. WIN. Good luck, at dapat pakak!"
Following each lip sync, the queen who (in Paolo's opinion) performed best will be told "Shantay, you stay.", and subsequently awarded a ₱25,000 cash tip, while the losing queen will be told that they would have another chance to redeem themselves.
The queens who lost their rounds of the tournament will then lip-sync to determine who among them gets eliminated. Before each round of the lip sync begins, Paolo will state the following to the queens:
"Two/Three queens stand before me. Ladies, this is your last chance to impress me, and save yourself... from elimination. The time has come... for you to lip sync... FOR. YOUR. LIFE. Good luck, at dapat pakak!"
Following this lip sync, the queen who (in Paolo's opinion) performed best will be told "Shantay, you stay.", while the eliminated queen will be asked to "Sashay away."
Lip Sync Smackdown for the Crown[]
Following the style of Season 9's finale, the Filipino franchise also adopted the Lip Sync for the Crown for the finale, albeit with slight tweaks in its mechanics. Rather than Paolo simply stating the winner during the finale, which is taped at the Main Stage, the remaining four queens would have to compete in a bracket-style lip sync tournament in order to win the season.
To start the Lip Sync Smackdown for the Crown, a wheel displaying the names of all four queens will be brought out. The first two queens selected by this wheel would compete in the first round of the lip sync tournament, with the remaining two queens not chosen competing in the second round of the tournament. Each of the performances begins with Paolo standing at the front of the stage, the two queens behind him, and announcing:
"Two queens stand behind me. Queens, this is your last chance to impress me, and save yourself... from elimination. The time has come... for you to lip sync... FOR. THE. CROWN. Good luck, and... dogon't fuguck igit ugup."
"Two queens stand behind me. Ladies, this is your last chance to impress me, and save yourself... from elimination. The time has come... for you to lip sync... FOR. THE. CROWN. Good luck, at dapat pakak; kung hindi, sapak na may kasamang tadyak at sandamukal na talak sa Hinulugang Taktak bago kita itulak pabagsak, with your face na wasak na pupulutin mo sa lusak habang ako'y humahagalpak sa galak!"
At the end of each match, Paolo announces which of the two queens performed better with the familiar "Shantay, you stay."; meanwhile, the eliminated queen would be asked to "Sashay away", with applause from the queens, the judges, and Paolo himself.
The final lip sync tournament consists of the winners of the first two matches (at this point, the Top 2 queens of the season) lip syncing against each other in the final lip sync of the season. The performance begins again with Paolo at the front of the stage, with the two queens behind him, this time announcing:
"Two queens stand behind me... Prior to tonight, you were asked to prepare a lip-sync performance of the song [title] by [artist]. Ladies, this is your last chance to impress me, and prove to the world that you are the Next Drag Race Superstar from the Philippines! Now... the time has come... for you to lip sync... FOR. THE. CROWN. My queens, good luck, and... dogon't fuguck igit ugup."
"Two queens stand behind me... Prior to tonight, you were asked to prepare a lip-sync performance of the song [title] by [artist]. Queens, this is your last chance to prove to the world that you are number one: the Next Drag Superstar from the Philippines. Now... the time has come... for you to lip sync... FOR. THE. CROWN. Good luck, at dapat pakak; kung hindi, sapak na may kasamang tadyak at sandamukal na talak sa Hinulugang Taktak bago kita itulak pabagsak, with your face na wasak na pupulutin mo sa lusak habang ako'y humahagalpak sa galak na may kasamang sigawan at palakpak!"
Following this performance, Paolo chooses the winner of the season based on the final lip sync, as well as both queens' respective performances throughout the season.
Final Lip Sync[]
While still referred to as a "Lip Sync for the Crown", the final lip sync of each season beginning season 3 follows a slightly different format, depending on the season:
- In season 3, the weakest queens of the Top 4 would be eliminated by Paolo without being given the chance to lip sync. The Top 2 queens would then Lip Sync for the Crown.
The performance begins with Paolo at the front of the stage, with the Top 2 behind him, and announcing:
"Two queens stand behind me... Prior to tonight, you were asked to prepare a lip-sync performance of the song [title] by [artist]. Ladies, this is your last chance to impress me, and prove to the world that you are the Next Drag Superstar from the Philippines! Now... the time has come... for you to lip sync... FOR. THE. CROWN. Good luck, queens, at dapat pakak!"
Following this performance, Paolo chooses the winner of the season based on the final lip sync, as well as both queens' respective performances throughout the season.
