A Reto de Doblaje, also known as La Divina Revancha, is the most common style of lip sync used on La Más Draga: Solo Las Más. At the end of each episode, any two contestants that have been placed in the bottom by their fellow contestants are in danger of elimination, indicating that they must lip sync in order to secure their spot in the competition.

Format[]

With the exception of the first episode,[note 1] any contestant who receives the most votes from their fellow castmates in El Purgatorio must participate in a lip sync battle in order to get rid of their Black Star. Their opponent will be the contestant that is currently under the nominee status; if none of them are, however, the selection of the opponent will depend on the reason for the lack of a nominated contestant:

  • If the nominated contestant was eliminated in the previous episode, the winner of that lip sync will be tasked to select the opponent from among their fellow castmates - with, once again, the sole exemption being the winner of that week's challenge.
  • If the nominated contestant managed to secure a Golden Star before their second lip sync, they will be the ones to select the opponent, although following the same rules mentioned above.

The victor of the lip sync battle will be declared safe and lose their nominee status if they had it. The fate of the loser will hinge on whether they were already under the nominee status or not:

  • If they were not, they will be placed on said status but continue in the competition. They will participate in the mini and main challenges of the next episode, although they will be forced into a second lip sync battle unless they secure a Golden Star before then.
  • If they were, they will receive a second Black Star and be officially eliminated from the competition.

Tiebreaker Lip Sync[]

During the semifinals, when tallying the final scores for each contestant, it was discovered that two contestants were tied for the third and, supposedly, final finalist position. In order to decide who would be moving forward to the finale, the contestants were asked to participate in a tiebreaker lip sync battle.

Trivia[]

  • As with the main series, the contestants are provided with a period of time to change into a more suitable look for the lip sync if they desire. However, the amount of time given to them depends on whether they were already under the nominee status or not:[1]
    • Contestants who were already nominated from a previous episode can change during El Mictlán while the rest of the cast is summoned to vote. They can be seen already fully prepared even before the contestant with the most votes of that week is announced.[2]
    • If they were not, they will have approximately between five to ten minutes to change, requiring them to rush into their new look immediately after being placed in the bottom two.[3]
  • The first season of La Más Draga: Solo Las Más featured the first recycled song for a regular lip sync battle in the franchise of La Más Draga. The song was "A Quien Le Importa" by Thalía, which was first used in the fourth episode of La Más Draga (Season 2).

Notes[]

  1. The contestant that receives the most votes during the first episode will be automatically placed under the nominee status, as they will not have an opponent to face in a lip sync.
