Luquisha Lubamba is the stage name of Luca Marchi,[1] a drag performer and singer, as well as one of the contestants of the first season of Drag Race Italia.
Drag Name Origin
Luquisha is the made up female version of Luca, her real name. "Lubamba" comes from the name of Italian model, showgirl and TV presenter Sylvie Lubamba.

- According to her Facebook, Luquisha speaks Italian, English, Spanish, German and French.[6]
- Luquisha calls her fans "lubimbe", a combination of "Lubamba" with the word "bimbe", which means "babes" in Italian.[7]
- Luquisha is the second queen to have a fakeout elimination, the first being Kandy Muse. Both were told "sashay away" before being called back to stay in the competition.
- She is one of the few queens who never placed safe and was not eliminated in the first episode. Her track record is made up of low, bottom, and high placements.
- One of her favorite icons is the Italian singer and dancer Raffaella Carrà.[8]
- Her university thesis focused on RuPaul and the drag world.[8]
