Majesty,[1] formerly known as James Majesty,[5] is an American drag performer who competed on the second season of The Boulet Brothers' Dragula, where he placed as runner-up.

Majesty later returned to Season 6 of the same show. Majesty chose to leave the competition voluntarily, placing 9th overall.

Drag Name Origin[]

"James" is their actual first name, which they have since dropped upon returning to Season 6 because "I was born with that name, it's not who I am anymore."[6]

  • Majesty is the first monster to achieve three maxi challenge wins in Dragula.
  • Majesty is the third monster to quit the competition, after Violencia Exclamation Point and Melissa Befierce.
    • Majesty is the first monster to do so without being placed in the bottom.
  • Originally, Majesty planned to urinate in a cup and drink it for the "Filth" category in the finale of The Boulet Brothers' Dragula season 2. However, they were not allowed to do so due to network restrictions, which led them to improvise their filth look.[7]
  • Majesty started doing drag at the age of 15, after discovering RuPaul's Drag Race.[8]
  • Majesty is the sixth contestant from The Boulet Brothers' Dragula season 2 to return to compete for a second or third time.
    • They are also the third Dragula contestant overall to return to compete on a main franchise season, after Dahli and Saint.
  • During Majesty's The Boulet Brothers' Creatures of the Night interview for Season 6, they revealed that...[6]
    • their Season 6 promo was inspired by Bette Midler in Big Business.
    • they auditioned for Season 6, and were not asked back prior to auditions.

  • The official trailer for Season 6 includes a full-color clip of Majesty and Desiree Dik arguing outside of the Cauldron following Episode 3's Holiday of Horrors floorshow. The argument is not at all shown in the actual Holiday of Horrors episode, but was featured as a black-and-white flashback in Episode 5.
  • Majesty is the first Dragula contestant to quit the competition and not have their death be shown.
