Minhi Wang, also known professionally as David Shih-Ming Yao, is a Canada-based Australian drag performer and one of the contestants of the fifth season of Canada's Drag Race.
Drag Name Origin[]
According to Yao, he was finding a punny drag name that resembled his actual name and had an Asian flavor. As an Asian guy who lives in Australia, his experiences of racism inspired him to reclaim a racist stereotype of Asian men having small penis (mini wang) to turn it to his Drag persona.[5]

- Minhi is the second contestant in the Drag Race franchise to formerly be a Pit Crew member after Megui Yeillow from the fourth Spanish season. Minhi appeared on season 1 of the show.
