Mista Boo is a Mexican drag queen and performer, best known for being a contestant on Season 3 of the YouTube show La Más Draga.
About[]
Always seeking to highlight some gloomy aspect and focusing mostly on the demonic and horror side of things, Mista Boo loves to give the public everything. Her thing is shock and interpretation, loving to make an impact on the public and have them stare in awe at her.[4][5]
Drag Name Origin[]
Out of drag and while working as a customer service representative, Mista was known as Mister Alex, but many of his coworkers would jokingly call him Mista Alex instead. When she began doing drag, she took the Mista and combined it with Boo to end with a play on several words:[6]
- Mista can be translated into whisper or mumble.
- Boo is a reference to her spooky style of drag.
- Both names together then end up as a play on both Mister Boo and Miss Taboo.

Trivia[]
- Mista is the founder of the Haus of Boo, a drag house in Monterrey, Nuevo León.[7]
- Together with her drag house, Mista holds her own spooky drag competition called La Masacre. Mista has mentioned that this competition began with the idea of opening spaces and stages for other types of drag artists who seek creative freedom.[8]
- At the age of 44 at the time of filming, Mista is currently the oldest contestant to compete on La Más Draga.
- Based on the opening sequence, the Lotería card assigned to Mista was La Bruja. The number on her card also indicates that she was the eighth contestant cast for the season.[9]
- Her runway for La Más Bella Señorita México references the performance she did in her live audition where she had a man urinate on her.[10]
- Paris Bang Bang would name Monterrey as the Vergüenza Nacional of the Mexican drag scene based on this performance. Mista had this very same phrase written on her sash for the runway.[11]
- She is the first contestant on the show to place safe six episode in a row. She would be followed by Iris XC.
- Mista's original plan for her La Más Antojable runway involved having her dress nailed to the table prop. Additionally, several plates would be stuck to the table with magnets and filled with food that she would offer to the judges.[12]
- However, the day of the runway, the magnets suddenly disappeared from her things and the production team could not help her obtain fresh food for the plates.[12]
- Mista was also the first, and currently only, contestant of La Más Draga to get eliminated on their first lip-sync while against someone who was lip-syncing for their third time (Aviesc Who?).
- The bones she used for her La Más Prehispánica look were real dog bones.[13]
- For La Más Buchona she planned to behead a corpse and make its head explode with a firecracker, making reference to the true horror that is the buchona culture, she changed her concept when they were told it would be a makeover challenge.[14]
