Nickie Nicole, previously Nicky Nicole,[1] is an American-Dutch drag artist and has been serving as one of the judges on Make Up Your Mind since Season 2.
Career[]
Nickie, or rather Nicholas, went to study at the Fashion Academy in New York and when he was visiting friends in Paris in 1988, they suggested going to Amsterdam for a weekend.[1] It was Nicholas' first introduction to the city and he was immediately impressed by the friendly people and the inspiring artists.[1]
In 1992 Nicolas decided to move to Amsterdam to study at the fashion academy.[1] He was soon discovered by Manfred Langer, the owner of the illustrious iT club in the Amstelstraat. He left the academy and, as Nickie Nicole, soon became one of the best-known cross-dressing artists in the Amsterdam gay scene.[1]
Nickie gained national fame by acting as jury chairwoman in De Travestie Show presented by Robert ten Brink, which was broadcast on prime-time by Veronica from spring 1995 to 1997.[1]
