Drag Name Origin[]
For her drag name, Jorge chose "Nina Flowers" because before performing and doing drag, her stage name was actually her real name (Jorge Flores) until she decided to enter her first beauty pageant. Nina won the pageant and became Miss Continental in 1999. As Jorge couldn't enter the pageant with her boy name, he decided to think up of her drag name. Jorge's favorite Rock Star was Nina Hagen, his last name means "flowers" in Spanish, so he combined Nina Hagen's first name and "Flowers" together to form his drag name.[1]
"I don't consider myself as a female impersonator, I like to be more androgynous. It's an extravaganza."
"Just plug it in, and blow... shhhhhhhhh!" (promoting a hair dryer on the third episode challenge)
"This is your name."
"Tell me about your H-I-... uh H..." (trying to ask the guests judges on the third episode about their "HIT TV SHOW". Nina struggled and was mistaken quickly for appearing to say "HIV")
"My favorite part of doing drag is the transformation. Nina takes over more and more and when she's done... the different persona comes out. That's really where the art is."
"If I like what I see, it doesn't matter what anybody else has to say. It doesn't matter if the judges don't like it. It doesn't matter because I feel good about myself and I love what I see."
"Well, the meaning of the word loco or loca means "crazy", but in the gay Latin community, loca means "queen"! Or if some straight guy screams at you, "Look at that loca. Mirá a esa loca!", he's saying it in a mean way, so he means, "Look at that queer." But if a friend of you tells you "loca", it's like "girl..." Like saying "Girl..." (explaining to Bebe what loca means in Spanish)
"Even though after today we're going separate ways, I don't think this is the last time we're going to be doing this together."
"I didn't won the prizes, but I won other things: I won great experience, I won great friends. I'm going home a winner."
RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars Season 1[]
"I didn't won season one, because I needed to win All Stars." (Introduction)
"Bitches, we're making history, okay!?"
"It's really tough to serve fierceness and beauty when you don't even have eyebrows drawn!"
"Choke me. Choke me." (To Tammie Brown during the half-baked photoshoot)
