Paolo Camilli is an Italian actor and film director. On June 29, 2023, he was announced to be a judge on the third season of Drag Race Italia.[1]



Paolo Camilli trained in acting at the Scuola per la Formazione Teatrale e l'Improvvisazione Improvvivo-Liit, and has studied and worked with many Italian actors, among others, Luca Ronconi, Luigi Maria Musati, and Giancarlo Sepe. With the latter, he participated in two editions of the Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto.

Nel 2017 he debuted as author and director with the play Per colpa di un coniglio. In 2018, he won the Best Actor award at the InDivenire Festival in Rome. He made his TV debut in the Rai 3 shows La TV delle ragazze - Gli Stati Generali 1988-2018 (2018) and Stati Generali (2019), both hosted by Serena Dandini. In 2021, he debuted with L'amico di tutti, a one-man show that tackles, with comedy and satire, topics such as the gender controversy, homophobia, sexual discrimination, racism and hatespeech.

He has achieved international prominence, when he joined the cast of the second season of the HBO series The White Lotus as Hugo,[2] with which he won a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.[3]
