Los Venenos are a group of men who appear on each season of La Más Draga. The men of the crew are typically not much dressed, usually donning leather and elements of clothing associated to the related subculture. Their main role is to aid the judges and contestants in various challenges of the show.

Furthermore, from the third season onwards, they have taken on the responsibility of overseeing the Drag Altar. In this role, they offer some farewell sentiments to the eliminated contestants and provide them with their photographs, which are then placed on the altar to ensure that the contestants are remembered for eternity.

Soy Veneno[]

Soy Veneno was a spin-off competition of La Más Draga that aimed to find the newest member of Los Venenos. Hosted by Alexis 3XL and featuring Venenito as a judge, the show was announced on March 14, 2023 during the live auditions for Season 6. Both Tathan Duarte and Andrés Gueda joined the crew after competing in this show.[1]

Trivia[]

  • The producers did not initially intend for the crew to be responsible for the Drag Altar. It was only when Paris Bang Bang, who was originally in charge of it for Season 2, unexpectedly began missing her call times that they asked the original Veneno to step in. This impromptu arrangement turned out to work well, resulting in it returning for each following season.[2]
  • Ottoniel Yañez (Tóxico #1) is also the sole member of the crew to be credited on one of the show's soundtrack albums. He was featured in the song Navidrag from the third season's album.[3]
  • VenenOso's name is a pun on the words Venenoso, meaning venomous, and Oso, which means bear, in reference to the respective label in gay culture.
  • Carlos Agüero (Tóxico #2) had already worked with La Más Draga on numerous occasions before officially joining the crew on Season 5. He had previously served as a backup dancer for Roberto Carlo and Yari Mejía during the Season 4 finale and had also appeared in the music videos associated with that season.[4][5]
  • Antonio Mendoza (Veneno #3) was not extended an invitation to the finale of his debut and sole season. This was a result of the animosity that had developed between him and the cast, following the accusations of him being both homophobic and ineffective in his role of assisting the contestants.[6]
  • Coincidentally, both Adrián Jiménez (Venenito) and Joshua Reyes (VenenOso) ended up celebrating their respective wedding ceremonies on the same weekend of November 2023. Respectively, their weddings were held on November 18 and November 19.[7]
    • In attendance of Venenito's wedding were Tathan Duarte (Veneno #4) and Alexis 3XL, with the latter acting as the marriage officiant.[8]
