Drag Name Origin[]
In her "Meet the Queens", Plane Jane explains: "I've always really been into airplanes; they are really majestic and beautiful. I also really relate to Jane from Tarzan. I'm also into very musky, stinky, jungle men, so l just put the two together and my name just came about."[1]
Her name is also a pun on the phrase "plain Jane". Plane's name used to be spelled "Plain Jane" when she first started drag but she was told by a Boston queen that was boring and that she thought it was spelled "Plane," so Plane changed it.[4]
