Ra'Jah Davenport O'Hara is the stage name of Benni Miller,[1] a drag artist, entertainer, creator, dancer, and singer known for competing on Season 11 of RuPaul's Drag Race and placing 9th overall.

She would later return to compete on the sixth season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars.

Drag Name Origin

Ra'Jah's drag name was given to her by her drag mother, Sha'Nyia Ellis Narcisse. She previously competed in pageants under the name "Ra'Jah O'Hara Narcisse". Both her middle and last name come from the fact that she is a member of the "House of Davenport", as well as "House of O'Hara".

  • Ra'Jah's favorite color is magenta.[3]
    • However, she exclusively wore the color orange sometime during middle school or high school.[citation needed]
  • Ra'Jah's drag mother is Sha'Nyia Ellis Narcisse, whose drag mother is Silkie O'Hara Monroe, whose drag mother is Kelexis Davenport. Kelexis' other drag daughters include past contestants Sahara Davenport and Kennedy Davenport, as well as Armani Nicole Davenport (drag mother of A'keria Chanel Davenport), Deja Davenport (drag mother of Honey Davenport) and Chevelle Brooks (drag mother of Jiggly Caliente).[4]
  • She and A'keria Chanel Davenport and she and Scarlet Envy are the eighth and ninth pair to lip-sync against each other twice. The other pairs are BenDeLaCreme with Darienne Lake and Shangela, Katya and Alaska, Eureka! with Aquaria and Kameron Michaels, Monique Heart and Trinity The Tuck, and Yvie Oddly and Brooke Lynn Hytes.

    • She is the second queen in the American series to lip-sync for their lives four times in a single season, following Coco Montrese on Season 5. She was followed by Heidi N Closet in Season 12.
  • Ra'Jah made her yellow star bodysuit look for the Promo and her Entrance look as well.[5]
    • She revealed in an interview for NewNowNext that the costs for her garments were only $600.00.[6]
      • She also stated that all of her looks for All Stars 6 were made by her except for her "The Frill of it All" runway, which was made by her sister Ariel O'Hara.[7]

  • Ra'Jah and Brooke Lynn Hytes both partook in the earliest instance of a Lip-Sync tie in Drag Race Herstory, as they tied against each other on the second episode of All Stars 6.
    • Coincidentally, it was also the first instance that the Top All Star lip-synced against a Lip-Sync Assassin whom they competed with in their original season.
  • Ra'Jah is the third contestant to place in the top in the first 3 consecutive episodes of an All Stars season, following BenDeLaCreme on All Stars 3 and Naomi Smalls on All Stars 4.
    • However, Naomi Smalls is the only one out of the three who didn't win a challenge in the first three weeks, and BenDeLaCreme went on to place in the top for the fourth consecutive week.
  • Ra'Jah is the second queen to both win and be eliminated on a Design Challenge, after Morgan McMichaels.
    • However, she is the first one to achieve it in reverse order; she got eliminated on a design challenge first on Season 11, then later won one on All Stars 6.
  • Ra'Jah was inspired to audition for Season 11 after watching Shea Couleé on Season 9.
  • Ra'Jah was featured on season 14 episode 7 titled The Daytona Winds, She was featured in the form of a portrait.
