The ninth season of RuPaul's Drag Race announced its cast on February 2, 2017[1] and began airing on March 24, 2017. The winner of Season 9 walked out with the title of "America's Next Drag Superstar" and a cash prize of $100,000. This season, the show moved to VH1.
The winner of the ninth season of RuPaul's Drag Race was Sasha Velour, with Peppermint placing as the runner-up and Valentina winning Miss Congeniality.
