The third season of RuPaul's Drag U, premiered in the United States on June 18, 2012, on Logo, after Season 4 of the main series ended.
24 women (3 per episode) were selected and given drag makeovers and taught to access their "inner divas". Each of the women are judged and evaluated on her "Drag Point Average" (DPA):
- Drag transformation
- Performance
- Attitude adjustment
Each episode contestants with the highest DPA win a year's supply of custom makeup by Cinema Secrets Professional Cosmetics, a $1000 gift certificate for fashions from Overstock and $3166.32¢.
After three seasons of Drag U, RuPaul confirmed on May 8, 2013 that the series had been cancelled and there would be no further episodes.[1]
